More control over approvals and user access

Version 4.6.6 adds practical controls for approvals, checking and user access, alongside safer metadata handling and everyday workflow improvements.

Pause approvals without losing visibility

Approvers and administrators can now place revisions On Hold from Approval Summary when a document is not ready for review.

On Hold revisions remain visible, but approval reminder emails and Notification Center reminders stop until the revision is reassigned and ready to continue.

Assign checkers from Approval Summary

Checkers can now be assigned directly from Approval Summary. The revision moves to Checking Summary and returns to Approval Summary after all assigned checks are complete.

Schedule contractor access to end automatically

Administrators can schedule a future suspension date for manually created users. From that date, the user can no longer sign in and receives an email notification.

This gives sites a more reliable way to manage time-limited access for contractors and other temporary users.

Safer bulk metadata access

The Bulk Metadata Utility now has its own per-user permission. Administrators can enable access for trained users who need it, rather than relying only on a person’s general role.

More reliable filters and uploads

Approval Summary and Checking Summary filters now work together, so each selection narrows the remaining choices to combinations that have matching results.

Dashboard filters and results also refresh automatically in other open tabs for the same site after a document metadata import is completed.

Document metadata is checked against field-length limits before saving, with clear feedback and on-screen character limits when a value is too long.

Smaller workflow improvements

Approval reassignment is now kept within the selected site, reducing the risk of accidental cross-site changes. Users can also download the original or native file directly from Job Summary.

The upload completion screen now links directly to Approval Summary, contact and user names display consistently, and layout improvements make dashboards, Approval Summary and user-management screens easier to use.

Version 4.6.6 gives teams clearer control over approval work, checking and user access while making uploads, filtering and day-to-day administration more dependable.
