Job approvals and clearer site contacts

Version 4.7 introduces optional approval for new jobs, a nominated primary contact for each site, and improvements to user and password management.

15 September 2026 — Build 4.7.0.1

Approve new jobs before work is allocated

Accounts can now choose to require approval for new jobs before work is allocated to the Job Completer. A Manager or Manager Plus from the selected site approves the job.

If a job is rejected, it can be corrected and resubmitted. Statuses, notifications and history make it easier to follow the job through the approval process.

Nominate a primary contact for each site

Administrators can nominate a primary contact for each site. This gives DMS a consistent contact for important site-level notifications.

User and password management within the right scope

Manager, Manager Plus and Supervisor access has been corrected so each role can manage users and password messages within its permitted scope.

Where their role permits it, these users can create account and site users, send password-reset links and send temporary-password messages. Account and role boundaries apply to each action, with additional checks to help prevent access to information outside the user’s permitted scope.

More reliable form resets

Resetting a user form now reliably discards unsaved changes, making it clearer when you are starting again.
